Sat, December 6, 2008 - 10:46 AMMy Zaheh would sit in a dark room to contemplate. But also he was a pacer=provencial though it is, it still seems to surfeit the same idea. When I visited HeKotel, then Al-Aqsa, my post card showing the image dear to Muslims, was my attempt tp broaden the context of the fulminate Jewish experience I identified with grandpa, to a jumping off point in the conscious map, so unavoidable as these alternate memorialized places: our cousins' worshipped domains incurring respect. Walking in Ma'ale Ephraim, only a month before the first intifada--up toward Rachael's tomb, gave me levity that peace is symbolic if only for the few...this open crowd more & more need the advantage of knowing.
